BERLIN, March 08, 2019 — Ververica (formerly data Artisans), founded by the original creators of Apache Flink®, just revealed the program for the third annual Flink Forward San Francisco conference, the premier event for the Apache Flink and stream processing community. With more than 30 sessions across five tracks, the conference will take place April 1-2, 2019, at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco.
Flink Forward brings together hundreds of Flink community members to learn from the largest production deployments of Apache Flink. Best practices and future developments of Flink from core committers, experts, and industry influencers will be shared over the course of two days.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in live demonstrations, join discussions and share experiences about Flink deployment and operations with different companies across multiple industries such as technology behemoths Yelp, Uber, Alibaba, Lyft, Comcast, Tencent or Airbnb. The conference sessions will cover what makes Flink a first-class stream processing framework option and dive into the technical details behind how to best use and deploy it at scale to power real-time data pipelines. The community can also expect insights on use cases such as online user experience personalization, identity stitching, fraud detection and data reconciliation or persistence.
For the newcomers or those who wish to deepen their knowledge around the framework, the program also includes a full-day training on April 1, 2019 covering three different Flink topics: from an Introduction to Streaming with Apache Flink, to Analyzing Streaming Data with Flink SQL and Troubleshooting and Operating Flink at large scale.
“We look forward to welcoming the community and sharing exciting developments and future directions of Apache Flink, along with best practices and learnings from some of the most innovative companies in the world!”, said Apache Flink PMC and Ververica CEO Kostas Tzoumas. “With the ever-increasing adoption of Flink, the number of use cases and scalability scenarios of deployments using the framework is constantly expanding. Flink Forward San Francisco is the event to get immersed in all the latest buzz around Flink and learn from industry experts as they adopt an event-centric, real time and service-oriented approach by building scalable streaming applications for the masses.”
