have a strong aptitude for programming and understanding of programming fundamentals (i.e. data structures & algorithms, distributed systems principles)
have experience in building a managed cloud service for data-intensive systems
welcome the challenges of working closely with cloud infrastructure and have experience with topics such as Kubernetes Operators (operatorsdk, kubebuilder), API design + management, distributed databases (CockroachDB, Vitess), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, AliCloud)
are generally familiar with site reliability engineering
