Demand Generation Marketing Manager


Apache Flink is one of the most active and fastest-growing open-source projects in the Apache Software Foundation and is used in production by enterprises including Alibaba, Uber, ING, Netflix, and more.

Ververica was founded in 2014 by the original creators of the Apache Flink project, and we’re building the next-generation platform for real-time data applications. We are tackling some of today’s largest technical challenges in big data and data streaming.

We are looking for an experienced Demand Generation Marketing Manager to drive the adoption of Ververica Platform and future stream processing products. This is a cross-functional role, and you’ll work closely with sales and product marketing on a day-to-day basis.

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of demand generation marketing/product marketing experience in a SaaS or enterprise software company. Our marketing team is small but growing quickly, and you should expect to have a significant amount of influence within the team and company from the very start.


Your role

As a demand generation manager, you’ll work as part of a larger digital marketing team to help create interest in and excitement for a company’s products or services to attract and retain customers, as well as drive revenue.

As a demand generation manager at Ververica, you will oversee all of the tactics used to develop and cultivate long-term customer relationships.


What you’ll do all day

  • Developing and executing short- and long-term multi-channel campaigns to drive leads and the sales pipeline

  • Leading A/B testing strategies and execution across all channels

  • Monitoring and optimizing campaigns and programs

  • Developing customer personas and knowing their buying preferences

  • Knowing the company’s brand, products, and value propositions

  • Assisting in content development to target buyer personas throughout the customer lifecycle

  • Working within a team of digital marketing professionals and collaborating with other departments, like sales and content, to develop and enhance strategies and campaigns

  • Identifying new markets and advertising tactics to encourage business growth

  • Recommending systems & agencies to help execute, test, track demand generation campaigns

  • Assuring buy-in and budget support from senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Measuring and analyzing campaign and marketing success

  • Delivering performance reports to leadership and departments you partner with


You will love this job if you...

  • 3+ years’ demand generation experience in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company

  • Successful track record of defining, developing, measuring, and iteratively improving demand generation programs that contribute to the sales pipeline

  • Bonus points for experience working in open source, big data, or stream processing technology markets
