Wir suchen einen strukturierten und zuverlässigen Buchhalter (m/w/d), der unsere täglichen Buchhaltungsprozesse eigenverantwortlich umsetzt. In dieser praxisorientierten Rolle bist du für die laufende Buchführung, die Debitoren- und Kreditorenbuchhaltung sowie die Vorbereitung von Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen zuständig.
Du berichtest direkt an unsere Director:in of Accounting & Finance, die die Gesamtverantwortung für die Buchhaltung, das ERP-System (SAP) und die Abschlüsse trägt. Diese Position ist ideal, wenn du gerne genau arbeitest, eigenständig Aufgaben umsetzt und ein wachsendes, internationales SaaS-Unternehmen unterstützen möchtest.
Deine Aufgaben
- Selbstständige Bearbeitung der laufenden Buchhaltung nach HGB für deutsche und internationale Gesellschaften
- Debitoren- und Kreditorenbuchhaltung: Rechnungserstellung, Zahlungsverkehr, Mahnwesen
- Unterstützung bei der Erstellung der monatlichen Abschlüsse, inkl. Rückstellungen, Abgrenzungen und Kontenabstimmungen
- Vorbereitung und Einreichung von Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen sowie weiteren steuerlichen Meldungen (z. B. ZM, OSS)
- Unterstützung bei Jahresabschlüssen, Betriebsprüfungen und der Zusammenarbeit mit Wirtschaftsprüfern und Steuerberatern
- Mitarbeit bei der Optimierung von Prozessen sowie Digitalisierung im SAP ERP-System
- Abstimmungen mit anderen Teams (z. B. Einkauf, Legal, Controlling)
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossene kaufmännische Ausbildung mit Weiterbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) und/oder vergleichbare Qualifikation, z. B. ein relevantes Studium (Bachelor/Master of Accounting)
- Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Buchhaltung, idealerweise im internationalen Umfeld oder IT-/Software-/Cloud-Bereich
- Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Monatsabschlüssen, inklusive Rückstellungen, Abgrenzungen und Kontenabstimmungen
- Erfahrung in der Vorbereitung von Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse im deutschen Handelsrecht (HGB) und im Umsatzsteuerrecht
- Sicherer Umgang mit Buchhaltungssoftware (SAP Business One) und MS Excel; Kenntnisse in Google Sheets und anderen angrenzenden Office-Tools sind ein Plus

We're looking for a structured, reliable Accountant (all genders welcome) to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting. This is a hands-on role covering ongoing bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and the preparation of VAT returns.
You'll report directly to our Director of Accounting & Finance, who owns overall responsibility for accounting, our ERP system (SAP), and financial close. This position is a great fit if you enjoy precise, detail-driven work, like running tasks independently, and want to support a growing, international SaaS business.
What you'll do
- Independently manage ongoing bookkeeping under German GAAP (HGB) for German and international entities
- Handle accounts receivable and payable: invoicing, payments, and collections
- Support monthly close, including accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax filings (e.g. EC Sales Lists, OSS)
- Support year-end close, tax audits, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors
- Help optimise and digitise processes within the SAP ERP system
- Coordinate with other teams (e.g. Procurement, Legal, Controlling)
- A completed commercial apprenticeship plus certification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) and/or a comparable qualification, e.g. a relevant degree (Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting)
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in the IT/software/cloud sector; experience in an international setting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and EU VAT law
- Experience with accruals, reconciliations, VAT, and supporting year-end close and audits
- Confident with accounting software (SAP Business One) and MS Excel; experience with Google Sheets and other tools is a plus
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as working with tax advisors and auditors, is a plus
- A careful, structured, and self-directed way of working
- Fluent German and excellent written and spoken English (English is our company language)

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated Working Student – Accounting to support our growing Finance team.
