data Artisans GmbH has received additional funding by the Pro-FIT program of the Investment Bank of Berlin (2/2017 until 5/2018). The Pro FIT project’s goal is to research and develop technologies to further enhance Flink by setting up features such as dynamic scaling processes, queryable state (read path), further sophisticated checkpointing, and recovery mechanisms and – for the purpose of addressing a wider audience to stream processing – StreamSQL-functionality. This all should translate into wider adoption of Flink in general, making it the core of the proprietary data Artisans platform product.
